“I CRIED”

 

 

Janet I cried when I heard I could no longer see your smile.

 

I cried when I heard I would never get to love, or even hold your first born child.

 

I cried thinking of all the things we planned together, and all the places we planned to see.

 

I cried because I saw your potential and all the things you will never get to be.

 

I cried for literally three days straight, simply thinking about you

 

Trying to feed myself a lie, hoping your death just wasn't true.

 

Now I realize I wasn't crying just for you but I was crying more for me.

 

Because the love I saw  in you I will no longer see.
I was crying for the little girls you encouraged ,and for the lives you touched. 

I was crying for the random strangers to whom your smile meant so much.

I was crying for the people who never met you and will never see the grace of your smile. .

I was crying for the lucky man who never got a chance to walk you down the aisle. 

 

 

Janet, I cried when I heard you were no longer here.
But I found a new tomorrow now there's no more sorrow only joy in my tear.

So now I cry Because through your pain you brought so many peace. 
I cry for hope because in the midst of doubts you helped so many believe.

 

 

Now all I want to do is celebrate your life because where you are heading there is no worry, no pain nor strife.

 

So Janet this is not good bye, because one day we will meet again.

 

In a place too beautiful to imagine and too holy for sin

 

They say the good die young and from our weaknesses we grow strong,

 

So now I just want to be happy that I have known and loved you this long.
